Dr. Karen Soo
BSc Med(Hons) MBBS, M Sports Med, FACSP
Dr Karen Soo is a sports physician and Fellow of the Australasian College of Sports Physicians. She completed her medical degree at the University of NSW with BSc(Med)Hons and MBBS Honours Class I and also has a Masters of Sports Medicine degree from the same university.
She’s been involved in the medical care of Australian athletes at Commonwealth Games, international events in Australia and overseas with the national women’s football and cricket teams and has also been team physician for representative rugby league, rugby union and AFL teams.
Her research has led to papers published in Diabetes Care and International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism and she also writes for Australian general practice journals.
Currently she is Medical Provider for Football Federation Australia and NSW Institute of Sport.
