
Dr. David Jefferies

David has worked with a number of elite sports and currently works with the Sydney Roosters NRLW. He has previously worked with Sydney FC, the Sydney Roosters NRL, Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, New South Wales Waratahs, Rugby Australia, Western Sydney Wanders and Perth Glory, and he was recently the Chief Medical Officer for World Rugby’s Sydney 7’s competition. He has also been involved with multiple endurance sports including the London Marathon and Ironman.
After attaining his medical degree and a bachelor’s degree in Physiology at The University of Bristol he completed his post graduate training in London. He then undertook a Masters degree in Sports, Exercise, and Health at University College London before emigrating to Australia. After 3 years working in Emergency Medicine at Royal North Shore Hospital, he joined the Sports and Exercise specialist training program in 2018.
David has an interest in diagnosis and management of all musculoskeletal issues including osteoarthritis, tendon pain, back pain, limb pain and sport related concussion. He has an interest in paediatric sports medicine having previously worked at The Children’s Institute of Sports Medicine. He offers ultrasound in clinic and a variety of image guided injections including corticosteroid, hyaluronic acid, prolotherapy and platelet rich plasma (PRP). He does not require a GP referral to see patients.
