Dr Jane Taylor
Sports and Exercise Medicine Registrar, ACSP
As a senior Sports and Medicine Registrar Dr Jane Taylor has over 8 years experience in a broad range of medical and surgical specialities.
Dr Jane Taylor has worked in various sports teams, notably the Cronulla Sharks NRL and NYC (2015) and Manly Warringah Sea Eagles NSW Cup (2016) as the Assistant Club Medical Officer. She has been Team Physician for the Junior Matildas as well as involvement with the Young Socceroos and was camp Team Doctor for the U20s Australian Rugby Team prior to their World Cup in 2016.
Dr Jane Taylor has in depth specialist Orthopaedic experience having worked as an Orthopaedic Surgical Registrar from 2011-2013 and has a special interest in fracture management. She also has experience in work related injury management, having worked as an Occupational Health Practitioner.
Dr Jane Taylor has also been involved in sports medicine coverage to sporting events such as the Australian Open of Surf, WSL World Junior Championships, team doctor for an expedition climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, and endurance events such as the 6 Foot Track Marathon.
Not only for elite athletes, Dr Jane Taylor believes Sports Medicine is for the “weekend warrior” and recreational sports person requiring care for acute or niggling injuries preventing them from the sports they enjoy. She personally enjoys surfing, downhill mountain biking, triathlon training, gym training and snow sports.
